redBoomerang Mobile Workforce Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — February, 2008

Backing up critical files usually means hard work. And if it so happens that a file goes missing while you’re in the road, you can’t do anything about it. That is not the case with redBoomerang. redBoomerang allows you to back up your files in their online storage. A 4Kb software client establishes the connection between you and the server. No need to type in hard to remember details, only your account’s username and password. Once you are connected, you can now specify what folders to back up and how often to back up. Once you have it configured, the process becomes automated. Retrieving a file is as simple as clicking on the Restore tab and choosing the folder or file you want to restore. And with government-level encryption, you know your data is safe. Though the reviewer states that the design isn’t pretty, redBoomerang makes up for in ease of use. For workers always on the go, redBoomerang offers an easy way to back up and restore files for $99.
Pros:
-Simple installation and access
-government level encryption
Cons:
-Not so pretty site design
