proDAD Adorage Vol. 7 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — October, 2008

Getting the right transitions and making them work for you can be a daunting task for the beginner, which is why proDAD decided to release the Adorage products, a line of transition products that includes several cool and nifty volumes. Installing the software was a breeze. The reviewer stated that the relevant plug-ins for any editing software you use are automatically installed. A PDF manual comes with the software, though you’d have to endure broken english and German-style quotation marks. While Adorage can work together with your favorite video editing software, you can also use it as a standalone application. Sources need not be videos and can be still images of formats that include PNG, TGA, JPG, TIF and BMP. At the left of the Adorage window is a list of effects with collapsible windows that you can simply click to choose and then open the mix, smoke and overlay windows for further tweaking. However, using it as a standalone application limits the export options you have, which is why the reviewer recommended using it as a plug-in instead. The power and ease of use of the proDAD Adorage offer something not only for beginners, but also for intermediate and advanced editors as well.

Pros:
-easy to use
-powerful
-versatile
Cons:
-confusing documentation
