The iPAQ Mobile Messenger Hw6900 is a true global phone equipped with quad-band technology. Although this phone will have no trouble getting support in Europe and the rest of the world, it only works with Cingular and T-Mobile in North America. The first thing that the reviewer noticed about the Mobile Messenger is that it is very light and portable. Although the 3 inch touch screen is of good quality, you cannot switch between landscape and portrait display modes - but the reviewer claims that this is unimportant because the display screen is square. This device has a built-in GPS receiver, without bundled navigational software. You can buy the iPAQ Navigation System, but the reviewer suggests an more flexible application like World Navigator. The QWERTY thumb keypad has great backlighting, and with flatter keys, easier to use. However, the device only has one customizable button for application launches. At the back of the device is a fairly good digital camera with an LED flash. The reviewer noted that although a fully-charged battery should be enough for general use, you need a higher capacity battery if you plan on using the GPS receiver and high-speed data transfers often.
