iHome iH12 Clock Radio for iPod Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — June, 2008

If waking up to your favorite music is what you consider as the perfect way to start your day, then you’d find a lot to like from the iHome iH12 Clock Radio for iPod. It serves as your iPod dock and an alarm clock at the same time. The iH12 is shaped like a cube and is available in pink and black. It has a small footprint, though the 5-pound weight should keep it stable even when groping for the snooze button. Navigating your way around the iH12 is quite simple even in the dark, thanks to the rubberized panel with embossed letters. The iH12 includes four inserts, though you have to use the manual to find out which insert to use. Getting the iPod up and running and using it as an alarm clock is a cinch. You have three choices: a buzzing alarm, the radio, or a song from your iPod. While it is great for waking you up, the reviewer noted that it’s not meant to be a mini-stereo replacement due to poor sound quality. Nevertheless, the ease and simplicity of using the alarm system makes the iHome iH12 Clock Radio for iPod a good deal.
Pros:
-Easy docking
-Rubberized buttons for easy navigation
-Dual alarms
-Three wake-to options
Cons:
-Bass is weak
-Metallic treble
