With the reviewers dislike of the default JotPro handwriting recognition on the Sony Ericsson P900/P910 smartphone, the advent of the Decuma Alphabetic is a welcome improvement, returning Graffiti-like character recognition to the P900/P910. A movable text-entry box pops up in situations needing text entry, minimizing to a small toolbar if needed. Unlike JotPro, Decuma Alphabetic is trainable for individual style, going so far as to allow custom character creation of word or phrase shortcuts. Until the handwriting recognition becomes much more advanced, this is an extremely useful addition to a P900/P910.
