WebEx MeetMeNow Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — June, 2008

MeetMeNow from WebEx is clearly intended as a video conferencing product for small businesses because of its low price tag. With a simple button, you can send out invitations for a video conference, either by e-mail or through IM. Attendees can join in the conference by clicking the join link. Unlike other video conferencing products, participants don’t need to have the MeetMeNow software, only those who initiate the meetings need it. However, all users are required to install an ActiveX plug-in. The reviewer generally liked the MeetMeNow interface. However, there’s one glitch - when a participant uses the application sharing, WebEx opens a second window and minimizes the active one. Overall, the reviewer thinks that MeetMeNow offers the basic videoconferencing needs of a small business.
Pros:
-Good meeting features
-Seamless video presentation
-Simple meeting organizer
Cons:
-Desktop application needs improvement
-Direct voice and video connections not simple to do
