Vinpower Xerox D103 Duplicator Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — August, 2008

The D103, the latest DVD Duplicator from Vinpower (licensing the Xerox brand name) brings into the field fresh new features that distinguish it from other duplicators. The interface, which is comprised of a membrane keypad and green-backlit dot-matrix LCD display, looks simple enough. A counter that can go from 1 to 9,999 keeps track of how many discs have to be burned and the number of good copies. The D103 ships with an Asus DVD-E616A3 DVD-ROM drive as the source drive, three Pioneer DVR-115D DVD burners and a Hitachi 160GB parallel ATA hard drive for storing disc images. Copies can be made from a non-copy-protected source disc, a disc image that you create with the duplicator or an .iso image you can send directly over to the duplicator via a USB cable attached to your PC. In order for you to manage the contents of the drive, the reviewer stated that you’d need to install a special piece of software. If you have limited space, you might want to check first if the D103 fits, since it is definitely not small. A lot of the case is empty space to help in air circulation - not a bad idea if you are working with many drives. Overall, the D103 is a solid choice for a duplicator.
Pros:
-easy to setup
-easier to use than predecessors
Cons:
-bulky
