Varizoom VZ S2010 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — June, 2007

The VZ S2010 at 4x3x2.5 inches weighs slightly more than a pound and is hardly cumbersome. It features low power consumption for extended battery life as it uses LEDs on a four-lamp array. The LEDs draw only 12 watts of power. How long this will extend the battery life of the unit can’t be conclusively answered though, as camcorders use up power even when idle. The VZ S2010 equipped with Varizoom is well-built. An on-camera light with decent functions and basic features, it has the added benefit of durability of its LEDs (these last considerably longer than most traditional lights). Although a bit pricey, it’s a great value when judged against other similar products. If you need an on camera light, this might be the one you are looking for.
Pros:
-Bright at compact with decent filters
-Low power consumption
Cons:
-Multiple lamp lights may yield better results
