TomTom Go 930 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — June, 2008

While the market is awash with budget GPS devices, there is still much to be said about fully-loaded ones such as the TomTom Go 930. It comes in a thin yet elegant black casing and an equally compact window mount. Its 4.3-inch screen displays large and colorful icons simple enough to understand even for beginners. One feature of the Go 930 is the voice activated commands. While its functionality is limited to entering an address, the reviewer noted that it worked almost flawlessly over traffic noise. It comes with the TomTom’s Map Share technology â€" useful for updating and downloading route corrections from others. While on the road, the Go 930 offers the new Advanced Lane Guidance system. It gives you a realistic photo-like image of the map that looks like the one you are driving on. The system then guides you to the correct lane. The reviewer stated also that the rerouting time of the Go 930 is average. Live traffic is available, though for a premium cost. While $500 may seem plenty, the TomTom Go 930 puts together a package that makes it one of the best mid-range priced GPS in the market.
Pros:
-Voice command system
-Lane Guidance system
-Bluetooth
Cons:
-Static in the FM transmitter
