The reviewer claims that among its peers, TeleType GPS is one of the most flexible, and contains the most number of extra features. The program has a synthesized voice that tells you the street names for approaching turns - you don’t have to look at your mobile device from time to time. Both voice and display alerts are given in multiple languages (Italian, French, German, Dutch, and English) and they also let you know when you’re straying off-route. You can even give out voice commands for the program to zoom and pan maps, as well as handle other controls. This allows you to use TeleType hands-free when you’re on the road. Additional information such as velocity, altitude, and expected time of arrival are also displayed onscreen. You can also add up to 12 million points of interest and allows you to download the entire US yellow pages as POIs. You can also download all maps (both marine and topographical) for any particular US state. There are also aviation maps available, all of which are derived from GDT. Navigation of non-addressed locations is also possible, as long as you know the latitude and longitude of your destination.
