Aside from an excellent antivirus and spyware protection, the quick scans and an intuitive interface makes it the cream of the crop. Installation took around 10 minutes, owing to the installation of the other components such as parental control. The reviewer noted that a restart wasn’t needed after installation. The interface is clean and well laid-out, which makes finding specific functions a whole lot easier. The software doesn’t have any major effects on the system’s resources, adding only a few seconds to boot time. While not really a major flaw, the reviewer noted that one feature that wasn’t really necessary is the invitation to join Norton Community Watch and give access to your surfing habits for information on what data phishing sites are trying to take from you. Nonetheless, Symantec’s Norton Internet Security Suite 2008, with its excellent interface, speedy scans and excellent protection, is a very compelling choice.
