StyleTap emulator is a Palm OS emulator for Windows Mobile devices. It allows you to install and run Palm OS programs on your Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone. The program is bundled with 3 Palm OS programs: PilotMines, Shopping List, and DirAssist. You can also customize how StyleTap displays the Palm OS programs on your mobile device. You can change the screen size, color display, or run programs in full screen mode. StyleTap also supports infrared data transmissions for Palm OS programs that require it. Although the StyleTap website says that Bluetooth isn’t supported, the program does support securial-over-Bluetooth connections that are usually used for GPS receivers. Keep in mind that not all Palm OS programs can run on StyleTap. An extensive list of compatible programs is displayed on StyleTap’s main website for the user’s reference. Even if you happen to install a program that doesn’t work, it’s very easy to uninstall it via StyleTap. Since this is a paid application, you might want to use the free trial first. The reviewer notes that even if StyleTap is a bit pricier than most Pocket PC programs, it’s much cheaper than buying a separate Palm OS handheld device.
