Space Machine PocketMap Navigator Reviews

Summary of review published by Pocket PC — September, 2005 (page 66)

PocketMap Navigator is a GPS navigation program for the Pocket PC. It has a lot of standard features, but some interesting additional features as well. First of all, the interface is quite easy to read, mostly because of the large text and buttons. The reviewer also noted that PocketMap Navigator has one of the most diverse points of interest collections out there. It includes gyms, theaters, drugstores, bookstores, and nightlife locations. PocketMap Navigator also keeps a record of your travel path history, as well as locations you have been to. A “Next Maneuver” button gives you voice alerts on the next turns in your route, so that you can watch the road and anticipate your turns. The program even zooms in on upcoming turns, so that you can see your maneuver more clearly. There is also an extensive use of audio in PocketMap Navigator - there are alerts, voice guides, and even sound effects. You can also access non-addressed locations by entering their latitude and longitude. All maps are derived from Tele-Atlas, and they can automatically load whenever needed.
Pros:
-Diverse points of interest
-Great, easy-to-use interface
-Audio alerts for maneuvers
