Sony Vegas DVD 7 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — January, 2007

With all the video editing software in the market, it’s difficult to find something which appeals to both beginners and hard-hitting professionals. Introducing Sony Vegas, Sony’s premier editing software; it has the power and integrity of a professional editing suite while remaining fully accessible to a first-timer. It has the tools to help you edit something as simple as a highlight video from last Christmas or something more complicated like a feature length HDV video. Adding to its flexibility, the interface can be customized to imitate other editing programs you may be more familiar with such as Avid, Final Cut and Premiere. Since Vegas allows the user to record audio in real time, making voice over work or recording your own soundtrack is very easy, working quite well as a multi-track audio editor. The reviewer was pleasantly surprised with how intuitive and quick the editing in Vegas is as there are usually 2 or 3 ways to get the same desired result. Importing and exporting in Vegas 7 are extensive, rendering your project to a wide variety of formats. Equipped with its intuitive features and high-end capabilities, Sony Vegas 7 will appeal to video-editors of any skill level.
Pros:
-Easy to learn
-Intuitive
-Comprehensive interface
Cons:
-No background rendering
