With the beautiful “floating” Lucite frame and a large, 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor, there is little question that the Sony VAIO VGC-LT29U all-in-one PC is one beautiful machine. It's compatible with VESA mounts so you can mount it on an articulated arm bolted to the wall or on your desk. The screen uses Sony’s brilliant, sharp "XBrite-HiColor" that shows all the details in high-def content. The system isn’t exactly 1080p, but the reviewer stated that you’d be hard-pressed to spot the difference. The system's Penryn-based Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor managed a SYSmark 2007 Preview Overall score of 118. Windows Media Encoder was done in 1 minute 12 seconds and Photoshop CS3 at 38 seconds " fast enough for a high-end multimedia PC. The GeForce 8400M GT graphics card was able to load Crysis, though it wasn’t really playable. In terms of energy efficiency, the VGC-LT29U uses 71 watts of power when idle and 99 watts when under load. On the other hand, bloatwares are plenty and appear in several places in the computer. For an excellent looking all-in-one PC that can double as a great TV with Blu-ray, get the Sony VAIO VGC-LT29U - just make sure you can stand all the bloatwares in the system.
