The Cyber-shot T7 is a major technological breakthrough featuring one of the thinnest 5 megapixel camera with the largest screen. The T7’s base housing is incredibly compact with a footprint of 3.5x2.3 inches. However Sony added a metal ear for the strap enlarging the footprint to almost 3.8x2.3. As for thickness, most of the body is about a quarter inch thick, while the other part is about 3/8th of an inch because that houses a full internal 3x optical zoom. The reviewer says that the T7 makes the competition look very thick and bulky. The catch is that Sony put a big lens cover shield on top of the compact camera design. The T7 also has an enormous on/off switch. All these destroy the impression of the T7 being the slimmest, lightest camera in the market. On the positive side, the controls have an intuitive layout with very clear and tasteful marking. It must be pointed out though, that the mode and zoom knobs are very tiny, which may be a problem for those with big hands. The 2.5” LCD with its best-in-class resolution is a great plus in terms of usability.
Pros:
-Very slim design and style
-Typically well-designed Sony camera
-Large, high resolution LCD screen
Cons:
-On/Off slider is too large and distracting
-Lacks internal memory storage
-No audio capabilities for annotations or recording
