Due to lack of stereo Bluetooth support, music lovers who’d want hands-free calls using the iPhone are restricted to using wired stereo headsets. This paved the way for the creation of stylish headphones such as the Skullcandy iPhone FMJ. The FMJ comes with the usual in-line mic that’s positioned at the right distance from the mouth, a call/end button that the reviewer finds hard to locate by touch and a 3.5mm gold-plated plug that fits the iPhone perfectly. It comes equipped with silicone and foam tips that do a pretty good job at blocking noise and is comfortable to wear. Sound quality isn’t quite balanced: bass was powerful, the highs easily overpowered and the mids were simply weak. The reviewer noted that you can go around these flaws by the iPhone’s EQ presets. Overall, call quality with the FMJ is good, though the lack of any noise cancellation in the mic made it sound terrible during windy situations. Combining comfort, great bass and a good set of noise cancelling earbuds, along with the iPhone compatibility, make the FMJ just right for its $79.95 price.
