SimpleDrive is a 500GB external storage drive made by Simple Tech that spins at 7200 RPM and has a cache buffer of 8 MB. Among its draws are its low price-to-gigabyte ratio and slim casing designed by Pininfarina. Note that it’s not made to be a travelling companion for your laptop because of its size. The SimpleDrive connects to PCs via USB, which is located at the back. The software needed to run it is stored in the drive itself and the user simply needs to click on the icon to install it on the system. Unfortunately, it can’t make a bootable backup of your operating system. Other than that, the reviewer likes the SimpleDrive’s performance, enough to give it his recommendation.
