Entering the business notebook scene in the US for the first time is Samsung with its P560-54G. It measures 14.1 x 10.5 x 1.4 inches and weighs 5.8 pounds. The reviewer noted that the P560’s design is very bland, with a simple rounded matte black shell. The full-size keyboard, on the other hand, is high-quality and comfortable to use. The touchpad is responsive, though curiously missing on a business notebook is a pointing stick. The 15.4-inch display has a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution and comes with a satin antiglare finish on the LCD. Playing a DVD provided natural color reproduction as well as minimal motion blur. It includes a surprising amount of ports, including HDMI and a PC Card slot. Benchmark scores were average, and the graphics performance scores were all double the category average. This means that the P560 can play 3D games at near-high settings. The 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi pushed data at a rate of 20.5 and 17.8 Mbps at 15 and 50 feet respectively. Even with a 6-cell battery, it lasted only 2 hours and 51 minutes which is 30 minutes less than the average. If style is the least of your priorities, the Samsung P560-54G is a decent option for a business notebook.
