Samsung Juke Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

With a unique swivel motion, able to fit in the snuggest of pockets and 2GB of internal storage, all for under $50, Verizon’s Samsung Juke is one tempting offer. But being a budget phone, this unit does come with trade-offs as well. The Juke cannot access Verizon’s V CAST Music Service, so there’s no on-demand downloading. There is no microSD slot either, but the 2GB of internal memory seems sufficient and you can easily sync to a PC via a USB cable. The reviewer stated that one of the more annoying features of the Juke is that you have to open the phone to launch the music player and then close the phone to view your playlist. The 1.5-inch screen proves too limiting for long text messages and image reviewing. Also, you can’t surf the Web with the Juke, though you have access to Verizon Wireless’ VZ Navigator GPS software. Calls that were made on the phone was very crisp and clear and the reviewer stated that they experienced no dropped calls. If having no 3G isn’t an issue for you, the Juke is one great budget phone for its call quality and 2GB internal memory.
Pros:
-Unique design
-2 GB internal storage
-Call quality is superb
Cons:
-No on-demand downloading
-1.5-inch too small
-no microSD slot
-No Internet surfing
