SafeBrowse Safe Eyes 5.0 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — May, 2008

Safe Eyes 5.0 has improved a lot from its previous version. For starters, it can now support up to ten user profiles from the previous four. It also has a new Account Summary page that gives an overview of the current user settings. This makes changing configurations for various users much easier. As the settings are saved online, the user interface can sometimes bog down. On the plus side, the user can configure the settings from any computer connected to the Internet. Safe Eyes lets you set weekly or daily internet usage schedules for your kids, and it keeps tabs on their usage as well. Safe Eyes is very secure and hard to crack, prompting the author to recommend it as the best parental control utility in the market today.
Pros:
-Blocks undesirable web sites
-Controls Internet usage
-Records activities
-Capable of remote access
-Sends alerts via e-mail, phone or text message
Cons:
-Keyword based URL blocking could block valid sites
-Web based admin controls might turn blank while waiting for server response
