Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 9 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — February, 2007

Roxio has been a staple in the CD burning world, with its superb disc burning utilities. But with Easy Media Creator 9, it brings more features to the table. With fewer programs to learn, a beginner can easily appreciate the ease with which he or she can capture videos and interface with digital still cameras all the same time. It even possesses a robust editing application in which one can easily mash up the footage and stills from his or her computer. The reviewer finds the interface cumbersome at times though beginner editors will find it easy to use, up until they move on to more efficient interfaces and bigger projects. The Cinemagic wizard makes panning and zooming all the more trouble-free. Though the reviewer believes that Easy Media Creator 9’s DVD burning utility is weak, its real strength lies in its ability to convert anything to a multitude of formats. With this in mind, it is certainly an inexpensive tool that ensconces a lot of ground for one application.
Pros:
-CineMagic editing wizard
-Video Compilation rendering
-Wide format support

Cons:
-Weak DVD authoring
