Roxio DVDit Pro HD Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — May, 2007

Roxio has arrived with the first high-definition, full length burner for people who don’t have computers. The Roxio DVDit Pro HD is a cool package, surprising the reviewer with its versatility; it may have been designed for Windows XP but it runs nicely on a Sony Vaio RM1 video editing computer. It also writes the same project to both Blu-ray Disc and DVD, which can potentially save time. Rough edges include a confusing bent to the way assets are brought into the program, as well the program’s pickiness with regards to file extensions. In spite of these, the reviewer found it easy to create menus from scratch. In its wholeness, DVDit Pro HD is friendly and powerful but may only last until your next authoring format comes along.
Pros:
-It can burn both DVD and Blu-ray Discs from the same project file
-Logical arrangement
-Navigation is easy
Cons:
-Quite picky about file extensions
-Slightly confusing importing of assets
