Red Giant Magic Bullet Colorist v1.0 is an impressive initial release. This is one plug-in that plays friendly with a large amount of NLE’s: Adobe, Apple, and Avid, with After Effects and Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Motion, and Xpress Pro and Media Composer, respectively. Using your computer’s graphics card to do tremendous amounts of number crunching, Colorista provides for an exceptional amount of precision and quality that is usually associated with tools in the six figure price point. For all its flair, it does have its rough edges and can be downright unwieldy in its lack of secondary color correction options. Setbacks aside, the reviewer believes that this is an exciting product to look after as it further develops and produces precise and quality images.
