GPS freedom with the Freedom mini-GPS

The word GPS brings into mind tablet-like devices mounted on your car’s dashboard. That was then. GPS receivers can now be as small as your keychain, just like the Freedom mini-GPS. The Freedom mini-GPS is a SiRF Star III, twenty-channel "All In View" tracking, NMEA compliant GPS receiver. Communicating via Bluetooth, it can be paired on virtually any Blutetooth-enabled PDA, smartphone, Blackberry and UMPC. Signal locking with the Freedom is no problem. In fact, the reviewer stated that the Freedom mini-GPS has managed to pull in and lock signals any- and everywhere. And not just the required three either. It was able to lock in seven of ten available satellites. It even performed better than the bulkier GPS receivers. In order to fully appreciate the wonders of this tiny GPS, the reviewer recommends trying a bunch of GPS suites. The fact that the device doesn’t have its own proprietary software gives you the freedom to use whatever software you choose, in any manner you want. Tracking, exercise and fitness training, the possibilities are endless.
