The Bravo SE may be tagged as a beginner's machine, but don't be fooled by labels. It is an impressive performer. You won’t find a quick-start instruction sheet but the reviewer quickly discovered that installation was easier than expected. You can load the installation disc and it guides you through the entire process. The Bravo SE bundle comes with a handful of useful software. It includes Primera’s PTPublisher to handle disc automation duties while SureThing CD Label Software Primera Edition for PC and CharisMac Engineering’s Describe for Mac OS 10.2 manage printing. The author was impressed with how quickly the Bravo SE burned a music CD, but what truly stands out is the Bravo SE’s pint quality. Print quality on Primera’s TuffCoat with WaterShield glossy finish media - set at its highest resolution - produces an image that is as expensive-looking as it is professional. And it isn’t just the print quality that is remarkable: behind the Bravo’s smoked plastic cover, the mechanics run smoothly and its small robotic arm makes it an easy fit in shelf or desk space. The Bravo certainly is not cheap but if one considers the results from its ink cartridges, it performs much better than the sticky, peel-off labels made with your current desktop inkjet.
