Plantronics Explorer 370 Sport Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

The wild outdoors and your Bluetooth headset usually don’t mix. So Plantronics designed the Explorer 370 Sport, a rugged headset made especially for the outdoor worker or sports enthusiast. Certified to the MIL-STD 810 standards, the Explorer is built to withstand water, shock, solar, sand, dust, and extreme temperatures. The reviewer stated that the Explorer survived being slammed in the pavement, dunked in a mug of water, and even when used during a blizzard. Though pairing the device is easy, the reviewer noted that the Explorer does not support multiple device pairing. Also, the Explorer doesn’t do a great job wiping background noise when used in the outdoors. The Explorer registered a range of 24 feet before sound starts to crackle. As for the battery life, the reviewer noted that the Explorer was able to produce 5 hours of talk time in a charge. If you find yourself frequenting the wilderness and would like to have a headset that wouldn’t conk out after a single drop, the Explorer 370 Sport is just the thing for you.
Pros:
-MIL STD 810 certified
-Very durable
-Decent audio quality
-Decent range and endurance
Cons:
-No support for multiple pairing
-Bulky design
