PhatWare PhatPad Reviews

Summary of review published by Handheld Computing — July, 2005 (page 72)

Phatpad goes beyond Pocket PC Notes to a more natural method of writing. Features include multiple colors, pen tips, movable graphics, multiple fonts for included handwriting recognition and multiple-page, one-file saves. Phatpad uses Pocket PC's integrated popup description windows in order to remind the user what each button does if necessary. Companion PC software allows same functionality, but pen response is laggy on PC. Files can be saved to PC- and Mac-compatible JPEG or BMP files for outside viewing or emailing. Definitely worthwhile.
Pros:
-Easy and fun to use
-Comprehensive added functionality for Pocket PC
Cons:
-Laggy in PC application
-Too few icons in toolbar
