Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — January, 2008

The Panasonic Toughbook laptop series might be thought of being aimed only at military personnel and service professionals, but once you know the performance and media features on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-52, you might change your mind about it. People see a Toughbook as conservative in design, but CF-52’s specs might make you a fan of it. For starters it has the latest Intel processor and graphics card from ATI. And not a lot of laptop has a briefcase handle attached to it. At 7.4 pounds, it is not the lightest laptop in the market today but it does compensate on other areas. It has a 15.4 widescreen monitor with 1,920 by 1,200 screen resolution. This is good for media files but text tends to be small. If you use your laptop in harsh environments, then a Toughbook is the one for you. The ports have plastic snap-on pieces to protect them from water seepages. CF-52 is a good long-term investment that will last a long while.
Pros:
-Long battery life
-Tough exterior
-Convenient briefcase handle
-Snap-on port covers
-Removable optical drives
Cons:
-Optional features make it too expensive
