The reviewer had high expectations for the Panasonic HPX3000, having been impressed by its predecessor, the HPX500, the year before. Feature-wise, the HPX3000 is a full-raster 1920x1080 P2 2/3” camera. For this review, it was tested in real world scenarios on location of a full length film for two weeks. The camera did not disappoint, producing excellent image quality even under extreme conditions and lighting situations. However, although it’s a superb, reliable piece of equipment, it also comes with a hefty price tag. The Panasonic HPX3000’s advance features may yield gorgeous footages, but the older HPX500’s bang-for-the-buck was definitely better.
