OnCourse Navigator Reviews

Summary of review published by Pocket PC — September, 2005 (page 64)

OnCourse Navigator for the Pocket PC offers all the standard GPS navigation software features, but it also offers a lot of advanced functions such as voice-triggered routing, which separates it from the rest of the GPS navigation programs out there. The reviewer also noted that OnCourse Navigator allows you to customize your waypoints, and to list down as many waypoints as you need. You can even mark points o finterest, as well as do a search for existing routes, hotels, restaurants, and airports. According to the reviewer, the maps are easy to read, since they display symbols for crossroads and directions. The newer versions of OnCourse Navigator even display information from road signs. You can also save on download and installation time by using the Clevermap feature. It lets you load preloaded maps so that you don’t have to load them multiple times. All the maps are from NAVTEQ sources, and the program itself includes many useful travel tools. It comes with a CompactFlash card, Bluetooth, and GPS cable receivers.
Pros:
-Excellent voice-triggered commands and routing
-Clevermap feature
-Easy-to-read map interface
