Olympus Stylus Reviews

Summary of review published by Handheld Computing — July, 2005 (page 66)

Olympus' Stylus line has an honorable pedigree behind the name, and this 4.9 MP beauty is proudly championing the name, with a large, clear LCD, clean design and fast startup and focus lock, thanks to the image processing chip, the TruePic Turbo. The great LCD is unfortunately exposed to damage in a purse or glove box, and so needs conscientious attention to that detail, but otherwise an exceptional addition to the Stylus digital line. Storage includes a 32 MB xD flash card, and this causes its single ding in the colors, as xD cards are expensive and relatively uncommon. Reviewer tested camera with a 512 MB card and recommends one of similar size as a supplemental initial purchase with the camera. Form factor and control placement are effective and easily accessible while shooting and can still fit in a purse or car glove box. A solid digital in the Stylus line.
Pros:
-Superb 2.5" LCD viewfinder
-Controls easy to navigate
-Superior picture quality
-Weatherproof
Cons:
-Uses xD cards
-LCD is prone to exposure
