Oakley has been known for producing a line of MP3 players embedded into sunglasses for a while now, but the Thump Pro seems to be their top product. It comes in 3 colors and in 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB memory capacities. Buyers can select from several lens colors and finishes, and there is an option for custom prescription. All the wires in this device fit snugly into the sunglasses’ frame, including the earphones. The easily accessible controls are also laid out on the frame. Apart from the regular controls you see on MP3 players, a special Overdrive feature plays a preselected up-tempo song - useful when you need to get the adrenaline pumping. Apart from MP3s, the Thump Pro also plays AAC and WMA songs. It can integrate with several media players including iTunes, but does not play songs purchased from the iTunes store. It doesn’t have a shuffle function either. The Thump Pro can also work as a portable USB drive because of its USB 2.0 connection. With all these functions, the Thump Pro still manages to be very light when worn - a real advantage for runners.
