Nokia Smart2Go Reviews

Summary of review published by Smartphone & Pocket PC — June, 2007 (page 88)

Although it is widely known that Nokia phones do not run on Windows Mobile, the company released a free mapping software that can be used on Windows Mobile devices. Although the program itself is free, more advanced paid features are available for users who want to make use of them. Paid features include voice prompted turn-by-turn directions. The Smart2go.com website has more information on these paid features. As for the free features, the program is very similar to other free mapping applications such as Google Maps and Windows Live Search. You download maps over the internet and view them on your mobile device. You can also search for local businesses via the program’s search function. It also has additional features such as the ability to save maps onto a storage card for future use. Users have also praised the quality of the maps, although the file size of the maps can be quite large. Other users have also mentioned that Smart2go is more functional and feature-rich than its competitors.
Pros:
-More features than other free alternatives
-You can save maps on external storage cards
