Travelers who would like to travel light will love the Nokia N82, as long as they don’t look at the tag price. The N82 combines its 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar lens with the very first Xenon flash made for a camera phone which results in impressive shots even in dark areas. Compared with a standalone digital camera, the reviewer stated that prints that came from both were hardly distinguishable. As a video camera, a standalone video cam still produced better videos with fewer artifacts. Though on-the-air downloading is still unavailable, you can load your songs through the microSD card slot. The unit supports loads of audio formats. The N82 has a built-in GPS and local search though the reviewer stated that maps were slow to load. Surfing through EDGE is slow, but the N82 is WiFi enabled for faster surfing, though the phone doesn’t support WPA and WPA2 encryption. Calls made with the N82 were stellar. The biggest hitch with the N82 is its price. At $629, this phone is not for everyone, but if you want to have a superb camera phone and have the money to shell out, the N82 is highly recommended.
