Newton Peripherals MoGo Presenter Mouse X54 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — September, 2008

For road warriors, the smaller and lighter the load, the better. That’s why Newton Peripherals decided to create the lightweight MoGo Presenter Mouse X54. The X54 is thin at just 0.2 inches, with the matte silver face a little more than 2 inches wide. It fits inside an ExpressCard/54 slot, where it charges. However, comfort is something you have to give up for this mouse. The reviewer noted that the X54 is quite uncomfortable to use, due to its flat and thin shape. You can use the X54 to control presentations by setting it on Presenter mode. This allows the left and right buttons to skip backward and forward through slides. It has a laser pointer, though the reviewer noted that seeing it in a computer monitor can be difficult. While it’s everything that a road warrior would want in a peripheral (compact and needs no separate charging dock), the poor ergonomics of the MoGo Presenter Mouse X54 might deter you from using it extensively. But for short presentations, the X54 is a useful accessory to tow along.
Pros:
-compact
-can be used as a pointing device
Cons:
-uncomfortable to use
