Budget navigators usually have a penchant for giving users a hard time entering data. Luckily, one exception is the 2000S from a GPS newcomer, Navigon. The 2000S features a basic black compact design and sports a 3.5-inch display. The menu is a cinch to use. The Main buttons let you enter a destination, choose from saved destinations, plot a route home, or view the map. It has a POI database of just 2 million. While it may seem small, the reviewer stated that the entries were up to date. The screen is bright while the maps are well drawn and easy to follow. You have the option to use the turn indicator to have the next turn spoken. During testing, the reviewer noted that the 2000S was fast during rerouting, ranging from being instantaneous to 2 seconds. It comes with a couple of extras, namely Reality View Pro and Lane Assistant Pro. It offers a photorealistic view of difficult exchanges and shows you exactly which lane to be in. While it may not have any media player, the great maps, the very useful bonuses and the easy to use interface make the Navigon 2000S an excellent budget navigator.
Pros:
-easy to read menus and maps
-comes with Lane Assistant and Reality View Pro
-street name pronunciation
-fast rerouting

Cons:
-small POI database
