Motorola RAZR VE20 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — August, 2008

The RAZR2 V9m gets an upgrade with the release of the new RAZR VE20. The clamshell-type VE20 is lighter and smaller than the V9m, weighing in at 3.6 ounces. The exterior comes with a matte silver finish and red metallic hinge accents. The 1.6-inch external display of the VE20 is partially touchscreen. The 2.2-inch internal display is big and bright with a brushed silver texture. For interface, Sprint uses the easy-to-use Sprint Ahead on the VE20. Deviating from the usual proprietary headphone jack, the VE20 comes with a standard 3.5mm jack. Multimedia fans will love the Sprint Music Store over-the-air download service as well as the Sprint TV for mobile TV. For NFL lovers, the RAZR VE20 takes advantage of the new NFL Mobile Live application to listen to NFL season broadcasts for all recent games. Web browsing is speedy thanks to the full 3G EV-DO Rev. 0 data connection. It also supports several e-mail services, and setting it up takes just a few minutes. While call quality in general is acceptable, the reviewer noted that calls sounded a bit hazy. Overall, if you are a fan of clamshells and like the touch-sensitive external display, the RAZR VE20 might appeal to you.
Pros:
-Fun interface
-3.5mm headphone jack
-Access to NFL mobile Live
Cons:
-External LCD not bright enough
-Easily picks up fingerprints
