The MOTO Q line is the first widely adopted Windows Mobile device in the US, and started a trend of slim and affordable devices with embedded QWERTY keyboards. Motorola is building on the Q’s success with its new line, the Q9. These new devices have a redesigned case and hardware buttons, slight revisions to the internal hardware, and run on Windows Mobile 6. The Q9 line has different versions, and this review looks at AT&T’s MOTO Q Global (Q9h), a GSM/GPRS 3G smartphone. The Q Global has a large screen, roomy keyboard, and handy add-on software. The reviewer praises its clean, thin case, but feels it’s a bit wide for a smartphone, and may not be comfortable for extended conversations.
