Cell phone makers have started to realize that megapixels aren’t everything in their camera phones. That's why Motorola decided to include Kodak’s Perfect Touch technology in its latest 5-MP camera phone, the Motorola Motozine ZN5. The ZN5 comes in a candy bar design in gunmetal gray. The flat keyboard provided good tactile feedback. At the back of the phone are the 5-MP camera and a powerful Xenon flash. The user interface of the ZN5 is easy to navigate, thanks to the main menu’s 9 icons that fit on one screen. Photos looked sharp, showing fine details and colors are punchy. However, the reviewer noted that the Xenon flash sometimes overwhelmed our shots. The incorporation of Kodak’s Perfect Touch Technology (KPT) made it possible to automatically adjust details depending on the shooting conditions. You can also directly upload your photos to your Kodak Gallery account. Web browsing can be done through EDGE or Wi-Fi. The phone also has a music player, a video player as well as an FM radio. Call quality is great, mainly because of Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology, which canceled background noise effectively. The phone has a minimum rated talk time of 5.4 hours which is the standard. At $99, the Motorola Motozine ZN5 is certainly one of the best camera phone in the market, though it still won’t replace your point-and-shoot.
Pros:
-5-megapixel camera
-works with Kodak Gallery
-has Kodak’s Perfect Touch Technology
-built-in Wi-Fi
Cons:
-no 3G
-photo quality not enough for large prints
