Motorola’s debut into the GPS scene came up short. The MotoNav TN20 falls under the budget navigator category, though the reviewer noted that even under this category, it was found lacking. It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen which is easy to view. A matte black casing surrounds the display and it comes with a compact window mount. It offers one voice for English, Spanish, and French and should be able to pronounce street names. However, the TN20 rarely pronounced street names. The POI interface is easy to use but the 1.5 million-POI database is paltry. While you can enter address and save favorite destinations, there’s no option for building a multi-stop route. The maps looked blocky and sparse and the menus felt sluggish. On the other hand, rerouting is quite speedy, taking only 4 to 5 seconds to present an updated route. One nifty bonus you’d get with the TN20 is lane assistance which tells you which lane you should be. It does have some good points, but the small POI database, blocky maps and buggy street pronunciation of the MotoNav TN20 might just be the deal-breaker.
Pros:
-comes with Lane Assistance
-quick rerouting

Cons:
-street pronunciation doesn’t work all the time
-small POI database
-block maps
