The unique looking clamshell from Motorola, the Krave ZN4, looks like a concept phone come to life. Weighing in at 4.6 ounces and measuring 4.1 x 2.0 x 0.8 inches, the Krave is easy to hold. The lid is transparent, giving an illusion that the built-in earpiece is floating. The lid can also be used as a touchscreen to control the display. However, the reviewer stated that the lid recognized key presses about two-thirds of the time. The main menu is pretty much straightforward and easy to follow, though the UI is a bit sluggish. Also, the reviewer stated that the on-screen keyboard is one of the worst they’ve used. Multimedia mavens will love the over-the-air-download support through V CAST Music store as well as the V CAST Mobile TV. The reviewer said that the mobile TV looked excellent on the ZN4, with the picture was clear and fluid on all ten channels. Web browsing is done through EV-DO but the reviewer bemoaned the fluctuating signal. For your e-mail accounts, you can choose between Mobile E-mail and Mobile Web E-mail. Call quality is stellar and battery life is just about right. Multimedia fans and those who are picky about call quality won’t be disappointed with the Motorola Krave ZN4 - just make sure you don’t do heavy texting.
