Mio Moov 310 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — April, 2008

Joining the line of bargain GPS navigators is the Mio Moov 310. Apart from its low price, the Moov 310 is a slender device that offers 4.3-inch of screen real estate, something which the reviewer approved of. Getting it running is a simple matter, as the unit offers no frills. It only has an On/Off/Reset switch and an SD slot for loading maps. It offers street pronunciation, though it only has 1 English voice. GPS signal is acquired fast thanks to the SIRFInstantFixII technology of the Moov 310. The reviewer stated that the unit needed only 15 seconds to acquire GPS signal, while most units need minutes to do so. The reviewer found the voice direction a bit too much, giving directions even if isn’t necessary. You also get 1 year of free TMC traffic service. A wire antenna is included that you attach to your windshield to receive traffic data. The Moov 310 also offers a meager 3.5 million POI database, though it was mostly up-to-date. If you are in search for a budget GPS navigator and you won’t mind the chatty voice instruction, the Mio Moov 310 is worthy of consideration.
Pros:
-Fast GPS signal acquisition
-1 year free traffic data
-4.3-inch screen
-Pronounces street names
Cons:
-Voice instruction too chatty
-Small and not completely up-to-date POI database
