Microsoft Zune 8GB Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — January, 2008

Microsoft Zune 8GB is the first flash based Zune. It looks good and comes in four colors that you can choose from. The colors are black, maroon, pink, and olive green. Zune can easily be synced with your PC wirelessly. This 8GB version has a much smaller screen than the rest of its competitors. Video resolution is great, but because of the small screen, it can cause eye strain. Its navigation interface is user-friendly but at times can be jumpy and erratic that can turn off its users. It’s improved from the previous Zune versions. Sound quality is a little off because of the ear buds that comes with the Zune. It’s recommended that you upgrade to enjoy the music better. On its own, Zune 8GB is a decent mp3 player.
Pros:
-Goes well with Zune marketplace
-Good navigation pad
-Nice graphics
-Rear panel can be customized
-Wireless PC syncing
Cons:
-Screen too small
-Headphone jack needs improvement
-Interface freezes often
-Player to Player transfer not that smooth
-Firmware update should be updated to have full wireless syncing
