The first thing that the reviewer noticed about Windows Mobile 6 is that the graphic interface has improved. 3D-looking icons are present, and the Today/Home screen is more functional. An embedded search bar provides easy access to Windows Live. The reviewer found that connectivity was one of the important aspects of WM6. Email features have improved, and users can use a maximum of 8 email accounts on their mobile device. The access to Windows Live also increases the flexibility of your mobile device. Windows Live Messenger integrates with your contact list and lets you easily send instant messages on the go. You can also access Windows Live Hotmail through an internet connection. Even Internet Explorer Mobile on WM6 is 30% than older versions. The Zero Configuration feature also connects you to Wi-Fi hotspots without hassle, making it the ultimate internet companion for your handheld device. The built-in Windows Mobile Update application on the WM6 also appears to be much closer to the PC version than its predecessors. Security is also an important upgrade in WM6, and you are allowed to encrypt storage cards. The reviewer thinks that if upgrades to WM6 are available for your device, you should get it.
Pros:
-Faster connectivity
-Zero Configuration feature
-Security upgrades are a must
-Easy access to Windows Live
Cons:
-Usability has room for improvement
Summary of review published by Pocket PC — April, 2007 (page 56)

Windows Mobile 6 has a lot of notable updates when compared with the previous versions. This includes several significant messaging updates, such as the ability to view HTML-formatted email. Since some applications only send emails in HTML format, this is a very important feature, especially for those who will use their mobile device for business purposes. Users will also have the ability to edit Word and Excel files, but PowerPoint files will remain read-only. Although you can edit Word and Excel files, you won’t be able to create new files. The reviewer suggested that you should just save blank Word and Excel files as templates and simply edit them to contain new content. There are also new security updates which allow you to encrypt storage cards, an important function for businesses that want to keep their data protected. The storage card data is also wiped clean when a remote wipe is performed on your mobile device. There are also a few minor changes on the graphics and sound effects used by Windows Mobile 6.
Pros:
-Ability to send and receive email in HTML format
-Users can view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files
-User can edit Word and Excel files
-More security enhancements
Cons:
-Users can’t create new Word and Excel files, you just open a blank document and save it as new with your modifications
