Microsoft is offering all its online business solutions in one suite with Office Live Small Business. Best of all, it’s for free. Services include private domain name registration, e-mail marketing, custom-designed site hosting, home-page gadgets, and support for Firefox. To be able to access this service, the user needs to have a Windows Live ID. Note that the custom domain is free for the first year only, and would cost $14.95 annually after that. The domain comes with 100 e-mail accounts and a five-page site using the standard template (which you can change if you so choose). Each site comes with a wizard to help you place content in it. You can even add more pages as long as you don’t exceed your storage allowance. Assigning users and editing their access rights are relatively easy, but each user must also have a Windows Live ID. OLSB can also help promote your business through adManager and via e-mail campaign. If your business involves selling products online, you need to get the paid add-on Store Manager. Overall, the reviewer was greatly impressed with Office Live Small Business.
