Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — February, 2008

Photos taken with the Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 may not be top-notch quality, but if you are considering it as an entry-level webcam, its enough to do the job. Weighing at 1.5 ounces, the NX-3000 sports a nonprotruding lens and is mounted on the lid of your notebook. The reviewer notes that, though the room did remain sufficiently bright, video taken at 640 x 480 resolution was quite low. And with a top resolution of only 1.3 megapixels, photos taken are on a small scale with accurate colors. The noise canceling mic delivered clear sounds but the reviewer wished that it could be louder. Special effects bundled with the NX-3000 are quite primitive compared to others. The reviewer noted that given its low price, along with the colorful two-dimensional borders and animations, you can just consider them additional bonuses.
Pros:
-Low price
-Clear sounds
-Accurate colors
Cons:
-Low volume
-Low video resolution
