Microsoft Exchange 2007 Reviews

Summary of review published by Smartphone & Pocket PC — June, 2007 (page 59)

The reviewer found that Exchange 2007 had considerably functional advantages over its predecessor, Exchange 2003. When used with a Windows Mobile 6 device, the productivity of an individual or small business may increase significantly. Exchange 2007 has the capability to read HTML formatted email. This lets you view embedded font styles, colors, and graphics in an email. Most online newsletters and corporate emails are sent in this format. Before the launch of this application, mobile devices had problems displaying HTML formatted email. Another important upgrade on Exchange 2007 is the Unified Messaging system, which allows users to receive voice mail or fax messages through Exchange, saving faxes as TIFF files, and voice mail files as WAV or WMA files. The reviewer also liked the Outlook Voice Access feature, which he thinks is handy to use in a car or any environment where you shouldn’t look at your mobile device or type into it. This voice access feature reads menus, notifications, schedules, and emails via a text-to-speech engine. The program also contains significant security upgrades, including storage card encryption. All in all, the reviewer found Exchange 2007 to be a must have for those who want more productivity.
Pros:
-Can read emails in HTML format
-Unified Messaging system receives voice mail and fax messages
-Significant security upgrades
