Although most navigation software require users to purchase pricey GPS equipment and applications, Navizon has come up with an affordable program that uses peer-to-peer wireless positioning via your Wi-Fi or GSM connection. This type of positioning makes Navizon unique from other mapping applications. Aside from downloadable maps, Navizon also has more advanced features such as the ability to track down your friends and business contacts, as well as social networking and geotagging capabilities. Users who use devices with GPS capability are also awarded with cash credit for the communal use of their device. The free version of the program is about as functional as the paid version, but it requires a GPS receiver.
Pros:
-Paid version uses Wi-Fi or GSM cellular connection to ascertain your location
-You can easily see the location of your contacts
Cons:
-Free version requires GPS device
