Logitech Quickcam Reviews

Summary of review published by Connected Photographer — June, 2007

Some people need to take hands-free pictures, and for this purpose, webcams are the ideal gadget. Logitech's QuickCam is an example of a popular wired webcam. It has a long USB cable and has a base that can swivel to a wide range of angles. The simple bundled software on the QuickCam makes taking snapshots a breeze. The downside to webcams is their resolution, which is typically around 1MP. This translates into poor quality printed photos. Although, for uploading pictures to the web, this resolution is quite sufficient. Used in combination with the GorillaPod, even the disabled can realize their dream to be a shutterbug. However, if greater control in terms of placement is needed, one can try using wireless webcams.
